Anna Pless Peel

Director of College Counseling

Anna developed a love for college counseling when she started the process herself in high school. A native of Atlanta, she was in the first graduating class at Atlanta Girls’ School. Anna graduated from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she received a BS in Counseling and Studio Art. Following graduation she taught English and History at a boarding school, Schloss Neubeuern, near Munich, Germany. When she returned to the United States, Anna worked in admissions for her Alma Mater.

For the past five years Anna has lived in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, Brett, and young daughter, Josephine. She started a college counseling program from the ground up at a math and science high school in Brooklyn, serving over 400 students each year. In each of the four years that Anna was the college counselor and counseling team lead, 100% of her students received college acceptances. She helped place her students in colleges where they were successful and flourished, many of whom received full-tuition. Anna has over seven years of experience as a high school counselor, college counselor and in admissions work. She has completed a certificate in College Advising through Columbia Teachers College. Anna received her MS in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from Mercer University. She is also an NCC (Nationally Certified Counselor).

In her free time she and her family love to travel, hike and be outdoors! Anna is really excited to move back to her hometown where she can continue her life’s work with the wonderful students and families at TNS!
