In 2018-19 we will have the following additional openings:

Director of Community Engaged Learning (FT)
The Director will be entirely focused on supporting our community engaged learning curriculum. Working in concert with TNS teachers–whether in projects or academic classes, the Director of CEL will research and coordinate opportunities for city-based learning. The New School’s CEL curriculum includes major interdisciplinary and experiential project work where students tackle challenging questions in social, environmental and civic issues; an entrepreneurship program that helps students to connect with their passions and launch their own businesses; an internship program where students work wth mentors at local organizations; and academic partnerships with local arts, innovation organizations. 

The right candidate will have a strong network of connections across multiple professional sectors in Atlanta (business, non-profit, arts, education) as well as the ability to develop new relationships and manage the logistics of multiple, simultaneous projects.

History [FT]
The full-time humanities/history teacher will teach a variety of classes—AP American History, World History, Economics and Government, in addition to co-leading one section of project-based learning in collaboration with other New School teachers and Project Specialists. APPLY ONLINE

The full-time Spanish teacher will teach all levels of Spanish language, in mixed age classes, in addition to co-leading one section of project-based learning in collaboration with other New School teachers and Project Specialists. APPLY ONLINE

Math/Physics [FT]
The full-time math/physics teacher will upper level math (AP calculus and AP statistics) and 9th grade physics in addition to co-leading one section of project-based learning in collaboration with other New School teachers and Project Specialists. APPLY ONLINE

Entrepreneurship Program Director
The part-time Entrepreneurship Program Director will lead our TNS-EdVentures program. Around 20 students in the junior class take part in the program each year. APPLY ONLINE
