Civil Rights Law
A hands on civil rights law experience with one of Atlanta’s premier civil rights lawyers. You’ll learn first hand how local and state governments work, experience and explore important issues affecting our community, and write a piece of legislation to be presented to lawmakers.

Instructor
Nora Benavidez is a Staff Attorney at the ACLU of Georgia. She investigates and develops new cases with our affiliate and national partners. She also helps manage our legal caseload through research and writing for active litigation, including appeals.
Nora obtained her J.D. from Emory University School of Law where she was awarded the Dean’s Public Service Award and the Pro Bono Service Medal. She received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University, magna cum laude.
