Barry Lee TNS-X InstructorBarry Lee uses illustration & social media to bring awareness to a wide variety of issues including topics on disability & mental health. In this course students will create art reflecting on various social justice topics of their choosing to help bring awareness and discuss things that are most important to them. The class will also feature visitors who are artists who use their work as forms of activism and social justice awareness. Barry Lee is an Atlanta based illustrator & muralist who has worked with Mailchimp, USA Today, TEDtalks and a slew of other clients. Born with a rare syndrome which caused him to be deaf and have a childhood of frequent surgeries, Lee used art as an escape and turned it into a career.
