Park Roller Skating

Roller skating is no longer a hobby of the past; it has become a revitalized sport with an international following and has found its way to The New School. This program strives to create an inclusive skating community for any high schooler who wants to skate. As roller skating has developed, it has left the rink and taken over the world. You can find skaters anywhere from cruising down the Beltline to skating all the way from Athens to Atlanta in the yearly A2A skate. This TNS-X, however, focuses on a whole different branch of roller skating: park skating.

While skate parks usually are accompanied by the idea of skateboarders, roller skaters have also found a home in the bowls and on the ramps. This program, taught by the president of the Atlanta chapter of the international quad skating community CIB, offers the opportunity for students to experience skating in skateparks around Georgia, whether they are totally new to roller skating or have been doing it their whole life.

Come experience the world on eight wheels!
