Tyra Blair

Tyra is a Nashville native and experienced professional chemist turned educator. This is her first year at TNS, and she is super excited to share her science expertise and experience. She obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University, her M.S. in Professional Chemistry from Tennessee State University, and is currently working on her Ph D in Computational Chemistry at Clark Atlanta University. Previously, she has worked as a lab analyst for 6 years before falling in love with education after teaching college level general chemistry during her master’s program and is now in her 4th year of teaching. Outside of science, she loves video games, puzzles, and DND.
