Rostam Zafari is a young entrepreneur turned high school teacher with a passion for education, entrepreneurship, and poetry. As the founder and CEO of a fully-backed learning platform called Mystro, he is combining the best of technology and people to create the most personalized and accessible tutoring experience ever. Previously, he worked with a team to create a more effective strip test for Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), which is currently patent pending. For his work, Rostam won the 2015 Cyrus Prize, was invited to the White House by Michelle Obama, spoke at conferences like Confluence and TEDxKish, interned with innovative companies like the Hyperloop, and was recognized as one of the top 25 college entrepreneurs in the United States by Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO). He loves reading and writing, particularly epic works like the Shahnameh and the Canticle of the Birds, which have instilled him with the belief that we all need to be the heroes of our own stories.
