This video shows me performing an Aerial routine I have been working on. The audio playing is “A Forest,” by The Cure. I have been practicing Aerial for 4 years now and this exhibits a few moves I have learned over time.
I take lessons from Challenge Aerial now. I used to take private lessons and I have a set-up at my house to practice and perform. I have come a long way from where I started, and it is definitely a “practice makes perfection” skill.
I think this video is a good example of how I’ve grown as an Aerialist. I started on “sling” and moved from different circus art aerobics. I have learned more complex and difficult moves and routines over time, and I don’t think this is the best example of what I’m capable of but I think it has a “wow” factor.
Aerial Arts are important to me because they help me express myself through movement while also keeping me fit. Not only are there great physical benefits, Aerial helps me set goals and I have conquered milestones.
