One interesting thing I’ve leard so far this year is just how simple audio production can really be. When I thought of audio production, I thought it would be a ridiculous amount of coding and timing and just overly complicated. But when I joined the class at the beginning of the semester, I was shocked to find that I just jumped right into it without much difficulty. There’s obviously a skill gap between a good producer and a bad one, but I thought I was doing pretty good for my first time picking up something like this. I wanted to share that experience and show how easily you can make a simple beat and melody with just a few minutes of time. This is by no means a complicated piece but more or less an exoskeleton for what could be a good song. My original thought process was that I want to make an EDM song that sounds decent and just has a simple intro, beat, and melody. And that’s all I really did; I just browsed pre-made beats and melodies until I found good ones that fit together. I simply combined them all together and moved them to the right timing. When it was all done and set, I played the short song and made some small adjustments.
